Terms and Conditions

Template placeholder. This page is included to show layout and structure only. It is not legal advice and is not a real terms of service. Replace this content with terms reviewed by a qualified lawyer before publishing a live site or accepting real users or payments.

These terms govern your use of the Thread platform ("the Service"), provided by Thread ("we," "us," "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you're using the Service on behalf of a company, you're agreeing on that company's behalf, and "you" refers to both you and that company.

If you don't agree to these terms, don't use the Service.

Using the Service

You must be at least 16 years old to use Thread. You're responsible for maintaining the security of your account, including your password and any connected third-party accounts. You're responsible for all activity that happens under your account, so let us know right away at [contact email] if you notice unauthorized use.

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes, and not to:

  • Attempt to access another user's workspace or data without authorization

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service

  • Use the Service to build a competing product

  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service's infrastructure or security

  • Upload or connect content you don't have the right to share

Connected Third-Party Tools

Thread works by connecting to tools you already use, such as Notion, Slack, Jira, Figma, and Google Drive. When you connect a tool, you're granting Thread permission to read the content in that tool as needed to provide the Service. You're responsible for ensuring you have the right to connect and share that content, particularly if you're connecting shared or company-owned workspaces.

We're not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of third-party tools you connect. If a connected tool changes its own terms or access policies, some features may stop working, and we'll do our best to notify you.

Your Content

You retain ownership of the content you connect to or create through Thread, including documents, messages, and anything Thread drafts on your behalf, such as briefs, recaps, or answers. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to access, process, and display that content solely to provide the Service to you.

We do not claim ownership of your content, and we do not use your workspace content to train models for other customers.

Service Availability

We aim to keep Thread available and reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access. We may need to perform maintenance, and features may change or be discontinued as the product evolves. We'll do our best to give notice of any changes that materially affect how you use the Service.

Intellectual Property

Thread, including its design, features, and underlying technology, is owned by Thread and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These terms don't grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or brand assets beyond what's needed to use the Service as intended.

Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, engage in activity that risks harm to the Service or other users, or if required by law. Where reasonably possible, we'll notify you before termination and explain why.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee that answers, recaps, or drafts generated by Thread are complete, accurate, or free of errors. Content generated by the Service should be reviewed before you rely on it for important decisions.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Thread is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the [12] months before the claim arose.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as the Service evolves. If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email or through the Service before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Space, without regard to conflict of law principles.
